Eastwood Park Theatre is inviting people feeling lonely or isolated at this time of year to come along to their pantomime and soak up some festive fun
The theatre in Glasgow’s south side is giving away single tickets for panto ‘Snow White and the Seven Wee Muppets’ on various dates between 23-30 December, including some seats on Christmas Eve and Boxing Day.
They are inviting the public to nominate a neighbour, friend or themselves to come along and join in the panto banter, with wheelchair accessible seats and space to bring an additional carer available in some cases.
Anthony McReavy, Chief Executive of East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure, said: “This can be a difficult time of year for some people in our community but we can guarantee that Snow White will bring a smile to their faces.
“You can nominate yourself, a neighbour or friend. If you are already coming to a show, have a think about someone you could bring along who would appreciate the company.
"There is always a great atmosphere at the pantomime and we’d like to extend a special welcome to people who may be on their own at this time of year to come along and join in the fun."
The show stars Stephen Arden as evil Stepmother and 80s pop diva Spella, Charis Murray as Snow White, Greig Adam as a role you’ll love in Lady Marmite, Lisa McKecknie as Spella and Snow White’s bestie Molly Muppet is played by Lee Reynolds.
It is written and directed by Giffnock’s own Paul-Harper Swan from Insideout Theatre Production and has been receiving rave reviews since it opened on Monday 18 December. This is the fourth year in a row the Company has brought a professional panto to Eastwood Park and follows the success of last year’s smash hit ‘A Belter of a Cinderella Story’.
