This July, come along to the first annual festival of sport and healthy lifestyle events in the heart of Glasgow’s southside!
Inhouse are excited to present Glasgow Games! Held at Queen’s Park Arena, the event will feature an array of interactive experiences for all ages, including workshops from renowned circus school Aerial Edge.
On Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th July Inhouse will host ‘Cirque du Southside’ featuring free workshops for kids from Aerial Edge in four circus disciplines; juggling, tightrope walking, hula hooping and parkour. From Friday 7th to Monday 10th July, book the chance to soar above the trees of the park with their Flying Trapeze classes. Saturday and Sunday’s free kids circus workshops and demonstrations will run from 10.00am with last admissions at 4.15pm, while the flying trapeze experiences are charged entry. Both the Aerial Edge kids circus skills and flying trapeze workshops can be booked here with some spaces available for walk ins.
Queen’s Park Arena, the revamped bandstand, officially re-opened by Inhouse and First Minister Nicola Sturgeon earlier this month, now boasts The Arena Cafe which will be serving tasty, healthy food and drinks throughout the summer weekends. Inhouse will also be hosting a series of festivals and events at the venue throughout the summer, with sports screenings in the Arena Bar tent from Thursday 13th to Sunday 16th July.
Queen’s Park Arena is most easily accessed from the Victoria Road and Balvicar Street entrances to Queen’s Park. We encourage people to use public transport, walk or cycle as parking is very restricted in the surrounding area. Full details of local transport routes can be found here »
