Scotland’s most popular outdoor event, the Scottish Game Fair, returns to Scone Palace between 30th June and 2nd July!
The highly anticipated 29th GWCT Scottish Game Fair is firmly established as Scotland’s most popular outdoor event hosted within the grounds of the historic and scenic Scone Palace and on the banks of the River Tay in Perthshire.
An annual gathering for country sports enthusiasts and a popular family day-out; the three-day event offers an enjoyable day out for all. Visitors can enjoy the packed programme of Main Ring where popular events include, terrier racing, the Fred Taylor Memorial Working Pony Competition, the Tug o’ War and the Dog ‘n’ Dog Show.
New for 2017 - the Fair is proud to host the inaugural Four Nations International Gundog competition on Saturday 1 July. Teams from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales set to compete on the islands of the River Tay.
Fair-goers can also get involved with the ‘Have a Go’ activities (including fishing, scurry, clays and much more) as well as pick up some culinary tips during the fantastic demonstrations in the Cookery Theatre. Over 450 traders will be attending this year’s event providing superb shopping with the finest equipment, sporting goods, food, drink, clothing and crafts on sale at great prices.
The Scottish Game Fair is a true celebration of rural Scotland helping educate and debate on issues whilst showcasing game, wildlife and countryside management.
Early Bird Tickets are available until 30 April at £38 for a Family Ticket (two adults and two children, aged 5-15 years).
