The UK’s favourite singing show, The X Factor, is back and on the lookout for the next big breakout music stars as they travel the length and breadth of the country on the 2017 audition tour.

The team will be searching high and low, bringing the auditions directly to you in their hunt for singing sensations. So if you think you could be the next Matt Terry, Louisa Johnson, One Direction, Little Mix or Olly Murs, or know someone who you think could be, now is the time to come along and showcase your vocal talent.

The Mobile Auditions will be kicking off in Sunderland on Sunday 29th January at The Point.

For anyone not able to make the Sunderland audition date, there are other ways to apply:

Visiting another of our Mobile Audition Tour dates, which will be visiting smaller towns and cities across the country. There is no need to register for the Mobile Audition dates - see below for full details.

Acts are advised to turn up early to be sure to grab a slot as the Mobile Auditions are on a first come, first served basis.

All any budding hopefuls need to do is turn up on the date and time specified. If they impress The X Factor team with their vocals, they will then be in with a chance of auditioning in front of the X Factor judges, when the judges’ auditions take place in summer.

The hit show has uncovered some outstanding talent across the years. To date, One
Direction have sold more than 70 million records worldwide, Olly Murs released four multiplatinum albums with his fifth 24 Hours being recently certified platinum, while Little Mix’s fourth album Glory Days is now the longest reigning No.1 in the UK since the Spice Girls' debut album Spice. In 2016, three of the four British lead acts to chart at No.1 in the UK singles chart were discovered by The X Factor – Zayn, James Arthur and Little Mix. Last year’s winner Matt Terry is currently working on his debut album, after his charity winner’s single When Christmas Come Around debuted at No. 3 in the Official UK Charts.

The X Factor will return to ITV later this year. Fans of the show can follow all the action via @TheXFactor on Twitter and Instagram and on Facebook.com/TheXFactor
