About Crannogs and Logboats
Crannogs are man-made islands which are found on Scottish lochs. During the iron-age people created these islands and built dwellings on them. A Crannog was discovered at Loch Glashan along with lots of items left behind by the people that lived there, including a log boat. Join us and learn more about crannogs. Build your own and boat and see if it floats. What materials are most buoyant? Which will last longest?
